Hey, I really am sweet & innocent, just ask my wife....No
, ask my
Mom...Uh , Ask my preacher...No wait DO NOT ask him! (Wearing best used car salesman smile) Just trust me.
"The best part about being a caveman?".....Making the "stiff's" nervous. "Favorite sandwich?".....A nice hot Reuben sandwich from New York style deli in Birmingham Al. A roast beef and pastrami masterpiece covered in swiss cheese, sourkraut, and a touch of thei special sauce on lightly toasted marble rye bread. Served with french fries sprinkled in Old Bay seasoning with a big kosher pickle on the side.....Wow, that made my hungry.
"Are you smarter than a 5th grader?" I'm smarter than alot of the highschool teachers I knew in school ...about allot things ....BTW I like that show.
"Do you like beer?" I like THE beer....Shiner Bock. (trumpets sound) Produced at the old Spotzel brewrey in Shiner Tx, It's good german beer, made in the heart of texas. (hand over heart). Soory no feedback, I've been stoned on pain pills and then busy working around the house and in my workshop. |

Do you ever drink amber beers? (I'm thinking of Anchor Steam, which is very high on my list) (I like just about anything Jeff Foxworthy does)

I like alot of the amber/brown beers.
Right now I'm cleaning, straightening, organizing. But tinkering, lapidary work, and wood working...just need to get my vaccuum system set up for the last one. |

Stella Artois
, Rolling Rock , Budweizer . Sorry, Bud's just too watery and gives me a headache.
Speaking of beer, I keep either Miller, Guinness, or Black & Tan for cooking. Try the recipe below, it is very good. Made this one year for St Patrick's day, still make it alot. http://www.karott.com/guinness_recipes/meats.htm#MT33 Pork Chops with Guinness and Onion Gravy 8 1 inch thick pork blade chops or sirloin chops

Do you drink wine? |

Yes, I do drink wine. I like a good Merlot, or Chianti when I get a chance to go to my favorite italian restraunt. There is a very good vinyard about 12 miles
from my house that makes the most wonderful Muscadine wine, and two more within an hour's drive. http://www.muscadine.com/winery.htm
I've actually made my own wine, made some once with my Father in-law that would almost burn.
Actually a nice glass of wine sounds pretty good right now.

Guinness is wonderful for cooking.
Are you a fan of Zinfandels (not the "white zins" but the big bodied reds)? |

Yes, I do. I usually don't go for the big time wine varieties though....I just caught a rat.
I'm kinda partial to smaller brands and local vintors. If ever you are in the Pigeon Forge area try Mountain Valley Vineyards. |

I'm a fan of the smaller wineries myself. We have some nice local vineyards and vintors. I wasn't really aware of winemaking in that part of the
country...I guess being in California we sort of think we're the be all end all of American wine...but obviously, that's just not true.
What do you mean "I just caught a rat"? |

I caught a big freakin rat. One of those giant field rats.
We live in the country, next to a pasture beside a creek, across the street from the woods. We get mice from time to time but our cat would take them out pretty quickly, but she wanted to be an outside cat. So we got a pair of kittens about 3 weeks ago. Last night I noticed we had an extra kitten in the kitchen. We don't have an extra kitten. I didn't have a rat trap, so I had to buy one...so I did
At this point the kittens are daring each other to touch it.

We had one that must've jumped or slid off our roof at the last house and it landed in the trash can. We didn't know it was there til after it rained
and it drowned cuz it couldn't get out. It was about half the size of your kitten.
The cats must be thinking, "Awww man, we missed out!" |

Ow....sort of sorry I asked....we've had rats in the backyard...so far the only wild rodent to come inside has been a mouse.
Why didn't your cats take care of that thing? Meaning: I'm a dog person...if there's any reason to have a cat it's because it will take care of the mice and rats....why are yours just looking at the thing?...and, secondary question which you are obviously not obligated to answer: why would you place such a trap in an area your small cats could play with it and get injured? |

The rat was one of those big field rats. I have a yellow lab outside and he kills those thing all the time, doesn't eat them just a " hey look what I
did." Kind of thing.
I have to throw them into the pasture for
the crows.
The kittens are still a bit young to tackle a rat like that without getting hurt. I've seen them attack a cricket that my daughter brought in, and a moth that flew in one night found he was in a no-fly zone. And no, the trap was in the cabinet that I secured so they couldn't get caught in it. No sense beeing in the dog house for catching a cat. |
