Bad news, after a month my leg swelled up, made a hole where the incision was and is draining. The leg feels like it's covered with hot coals and is really
infected bad. Weeeee.
Will see the surgeon tomorrow. nice guy he, he called in loritabs, promethazine, and sulfer antibiotic for me. Oh yeah, this is my new screen name. Wow, that was bad. I went to see my doc and he had to do a culture...which is doctor talk for jabbing a q-tip into the wound and wiggling it around. I darn
near fainted.
He has me on Loritab 10's, and Bactrim, a sulfer anti-biotic, as well as promethazine so I'll be able to keep the Loritabs down. He said it is definitely infected and if I didn't show a marked improvement in a week he would stick me in the hospital on IV anti-biotics. And I thought this was all going so well. :

I do that all the time and I'm not on anything.
I hope it gets better so you don't end up in the hospital.

No hospital. The culture came back, I have an Abgdetfgojbhfrxjhj opmgdchcv infection.
At least that's what the word looked like to me. Bactrim, which I was on, has little effect on it....Duh. So they switched me to Keflex. I've taken
2 so far and already see an improvement.

Well, that's good the new medicine is helping the abc infection. Hope it continues to improve.
