where would be your ideal home?
and why? I'd love to live at the beach. A small house but really NICE inside (when I lived at the beach it was a cottage from the 40s! Had a grand total of 6 electrical outlets in the whole house!). I'd love it to have a deck for just lying around in the sun (or shade) reading. While I don't even GO to the beach (I'm not a big fan of being in water, particularly salty water that MOVES and might have living beings in it) I love the beach atmosphere. It's great because for 9 months it's sedate and calm...very southing. Then you get a 3 month party. Living at the beach is like being a kid again because you can't wait for SUMMER!!!! What most gives you a lift when you are feeling blue? My doggies! Love them, love them, love them...they are so unfailingly happy to see me! Never once have I come home to find my doggies are already mad at me about something I haven't even done yet... |

Ten years ago, where did you think you would be today? Are you close to what you thought, or wanted?
In my home life, I think I'm pretty close. 10 years ago I was pregnant about 2 weeks away from a miscarriage. So I was all about the idea of family, child rearing, home life. I rather thought I'd work at the photo lab forever, and I don't and that's good, so professionally, I'm way ahead! I think I'm OLDER than I'd planned to be. I've been through more than I thought I should have to go through. I've thought more about mortality than I thought I would have to. I'm grumpier than I thought I'd be, but I'm also a lot more comfortable BEING grumpy than I thought you could be. I have less concern about people liking me. |

Yikes!!! Rather like having to choose between my dogs! There are good and bad to both. LOVE the first Star Wars movie, conversly, HATED the first Star Trek movie. I'd say the original Star Trek and Next Gen would be my favorites..then the first Star Wars movie...then, who knows..but I really hated Christian Hayden in Attack of the Clones if that counts for anything. |

gee...I define "artist" so broadly... Musically, Bruce Springsteen Painting, probably Renoir...though, can't say a bad thing about DaVinci...who did a lot more and was a totally cool left handed person and personal hero... Photography, Diane Arbus...dark and all about people I could do this forever...I'm highly opinionated... |

Look at my picture!!! I'm totally a dog person. Cats are pretty, but I'm very allergic to them and frankly I find they border on indifferent. I like an animal who trots over to see me and covers me with kisses when I get home. I like the fact that dogs can be just plain DUMB about stuff (what's with chasing the tail? it's a body part for crying out loud!) while cats wouldn't dream of doing anything stupid around you. |

The late 1920s...when women were lobbying for the right to vote...I'd love to be arguing that point...I'd love to be there making it possible for women to be treated as HUMANS not "mates".

I love the beach, especially at night..I love the sound of the waves rolling in...the feel of the breeze...the smell of the salt air...the way it goes on forever...it makes me feel so close to spiritual...it helps me know there is so much more beyond the everyday, and the trivial, and even the big problems in life.

yeah...the beach at night is amazing!!!! The sound! And, it's so warm! People think it will be cold, but even in winter, it's comfortable.
I'm trying hard to remember my first date? I think we went to a movie. I remember who it was with. Roger Brown. I'd had a HUGE crush on him in Jr. High and then, many years of nerddom later, he re-appeared in my life and at the unbelievably old age of 20, I went on my first date (is that pitiful? No! It's exactly what we all want for our daughters, right?). |
